OnlyUpside ("the game") is a free trading-practice game that uses historical cryptocurrency prices. This page explains what information we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address. If you sign in with Google or Discord, we also receive your name (or username) and profile picture from that service.
- Game activity: the rounds you play, your scores, streaks and other game statistics.
- Basic technical data: like most websites, our hosting and sign-in providers log information such as your IP address and browser type to keep the service secure.
- On your device: the game stores small settings in your browser, such as whether sound is on.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
- To save your scores and stats so they follow you across devices.
- To send account emails, such as confirming your email or resetting your password.
- To occasionally email you news about the game. You can opt out at any time by contacting us.
Ads
The game shows ads from Google AdSense, for example after a big win. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure how ads perform. You can turn off personalized ads at Google Ad Settings, and learn more at How Google uses information in ads or aboutads.info. Players with an ad-free subscription don't see ads.
What we don't do
We don't sell your personal information. Ads are never shown during a trade, and watching ads never affects your score or contest results.
Who processes your data
Accounts and game data are stored with Supabase. The website is hosted by Netlify. If you choose Google sign-in, Google handles that step, and Discord handles Discord sign-in. Ads are provided by Google AdSense.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account and stats while your account exists. To delete your account and all of its data, email us from the address on your account and we'll remove it.
Children
The game is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
